I grew up in Yoshino, Nara Prefecture, a town with a thriving forestry industry, where my family ran a sawmill specializing in Yoshino cypress, and studied interior design. Since I was 25, I have been handcrafting relaxing lights using Yoshino cypress and Yoshino handmade washi paper, focusing on the theme of “light therapy.”
