Based in Hamamatsu, I am the founder of the design studio [UO]. Through my personal practice, I create works that seek to reconnect fragmented elements and their relationships with the world. My work has been recognized with awards such as the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, and at SaloneSatellite.

挽印 「工」
“Turned Wooden Seal — “Kō”
挽物の判子。杉材を「工」の輪郭に挽いた後、半分に割き、断面に浮造り（木目の凹凸を強調する仕上げ）を施し製作されている。「工」は天地をつなぐ営みを意味する。
Crafted from Japanese cedar, the wood is turned on a lathe into the contour of the character “Kō” (工), then split in half. The cut surface is finished with ukidukuri, a traditional technique that brings out the natural grain and depth of the wood. The form “Kō” evokes a quiet balance between the human and the cosmic.
