岩手県の伝統工芸品「秀衡塗」を作成している工房です。今年で創業１２１年を迎える事ができました。秀衡塗は平安時代、奥州藤原氏の三代・藤原秀衡の時代に生まれた漆器で雲の模様に菱型の金箔を加飾するのが特徴になります。「ＦＵＤＡＮ」というブランドは秀衡塗の形を継承し加飾を無くし、使用する場面を選ばず日常に使いたくなる漆器になります。

秀衡塗／ＦＵＤＡＮ
Hidehira-nuri / FUDAN
「秀衡塗」雲の模様に菱型の金箔を施し、自然の木や花の絵柄を描いているのが特徴です。「ＦＵＤＡＮ」は、木目が見える「拭き漆」という技法を使い、日常に溶け込み毎日使いたくなるような漆器のブランドです。
“Hidehira-nuri” is distinguished by its elegant cloud patterns combined with diamond-shaped gold leaf and motifs of nature, such as trees and flowers. “FUDAN” is a brand of lacquerware created using the fuki-urushi technique, which highlights the natural wood grain. It is designed to blend seamlessly into everyday life—pieces you’ll want to use day after day.
